Accredited Jikiden Reiki Shihan Teacher & Reflexologist
I’m Carole Dawson Jikiden Reiki Shihan Teacher and Reflexologist with over 28 years experience in natural health and healing. I started my healing journey through a chance remark by a massage therapist who spotted I had a neck problem while working on my feet!
I was inspired to learn more about the link between feet and body which culminated in becoming a qualified Reflexologist with the Bayly School. The Bayly school was the first Reflexology training school to be set up in Great Britain. Since then, I have been running my own clinic where I see a positive impact on many clients lives.
I became interested in Reiki in 1995 when a colleague gave me a short treatment with very powerful results. I asked her to teach me this wonderful art which is open for anyone to learn.
Using Reiki on friends, family and my pets first, I soon realised the immense benefits that it could give.
After 10 years providing Reiki to clients I became a Western Reiki teacher and taught many others to give Reiki to themselves, family, pets and clients.

Eventually I discovered Jikiden Reiki, which is practiced and taught in the authentic Japanese way as it was originally taught by Chujiro Hayashi in the 1930s (one of the first teachers created by Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki).

My connection to Reiki was deepend by this and I soon realised that this would be the style of Reiki I would now practice and teach. All of my Jikiden Reiki training has been with Tadao Yamaguchi, the
co-founder of Jikiden Reiki.

Volunteering in Bosnia
Carole travelled to Sarajevo in Bosnia as a volunteer therapist with Healing Hands Network, a charity set up to help civilians affected by the war there in 1992 – 95.
During her time there she carried out around 50 treatments on people who had suffered physical and mental trauma.
Carole was working with another 3 volunteer therapists. They were all based in a house, run by the charity, which was also the clinic.
They also travelled to outreach centres to take
their therapies further afield. This was a very rewarding and humbling experience for Carole, which enriched her life and her work.
